Ashley Makes: Crochet Slouchy Hat

Last month I crocheted two Penny Slouchy hats using a pattern from AlyseCrochet’s Etsy shop.   I gave away one and kept the second for myself.  I have been wearing that hat a lot, and I wanted to make another one but in a different color.

The Tools and Supplies

Caron Simply Soft yarn

Here’s a list of the supplies I gathered to make the slouchy hat:

• Caron Simply Soft (Off White)
• Caron Simply Soft (Autumn Red)
• Size I Crochet Hook
• Scissors
• Yarn Needle

The Finished Hat

The pattern is well written and really easy to follow.  It took a few hours to complete the hat.  I am happy with the final result, but I like the hat I made using Loops & Threads Impeccable Glitter yarn more.  The Caron Simply Soft yarn is a little thinner so the hat came out size smaller than the previous slouchy hats.
